Excess insurance works alongside your normal insurance policy. If you have to make a claim, excess insurance covers the cost of your excess. Always remember to read the small print and check exactly what you will be covered for.
Should you need to claim under your policy, you should do so by phoning our claims handling company on (03301) 026056. Our claims handlers will send you a claim form to fill in and send back. They will also inform you of which additional documentation you will need to provide in order to validate your claim.

Yes, you can claim on multiple policies. However the lifestyle policy will only cover your excesses up to the maximum chosen excess limit on the lifestyle policy. However if the excesses on your main insurance policies have not been exceeded, then it will not be covered by your lifestyle excess policy.
An example: Based on a £500 lifestyle excess.
- You have a health insurance policy/car insurance/home insurance with a £500 excess
- You make a claim which costs £1,200
- Your insurance pays £700 of the cost. You pay the £500 excess
- You claim back the £500 excess from your lifestyle excess policy.
